I spent 2 months in Uniklinikum Magdeburg Neurosurgery Department. Even though I don't speak German they were very kind and accepted me. I definitely recommend to anyone.
In the mornings, first we did the normal visits, then I usually went to OR to see the operations. After the operations are over, they let take care of our own patients but since I didn't speak german, I couldn't do it.
Pros
- Everyone was so nice and they replied every question I asked. We talked about the procedures, cases.
- I was able to see different type of operations and they let us assist too.
- Attending physicians in the stations and ICU were also really helpful. They explained everything and since I was a foreigner they helped me a lot with Germany too.
- They provided scrubs, transponder and hospital phone for me and it was really helpful.
Cons
- Maybe there can be some basic lectures for the PJs.

I applied through Incoming Student office by mailing them first. Then they lead me to a website. They require you CV, letter of motivation, recommendation letter and immunization. It was very easy to follow the application procedure. The answer came in 2 days.
Also they sent a lot of information about living in the city and the dormitories. I found my dorm through there.
